CSS Reboot / Glenfiddich Nights

Well, I have (mostly) recovered from my trip to Las Cruces, and now that the CSS Reboot website is back up and running, I've been enjoying the unusual amount of attention that the reboot brings. I've gotten a lot of visitors, but not that much feedback/constructive criticism (hint, hint). Be forewarned, however: I already know it looks like shit in Nutscrape 4, and I DON'T CARE!

If you want, take a moment and rate my website.

There are over 1,000 sites rebooting this year... it will probably take me a week and a fifth of scotch before I get a chance to look at all of them. There are many that I've seen so far that are VERY cool. The european contingent seems to have made a particulary strong showing - you uber-artistic bastards! Makes me want to move to Ireland or something... maybe some of that suave European mojo will rub off on me.

I apologize to visitors that my hand-rolled blogging utility doesn't have a URL field in the comment form. I was mostly pretty intoxicated while I was writing the app, and I forgot... (slaps self)

Well, May 1st has come, and I have launched my new Whiskey themed web design. I'll warn you, I am still ironing out problems here and there, but for the most part I am very happy with it...

I returned from Las Cruces on Friday... I was down there for a week to help out with the NMDOT Engineering Conference. A lot of work, but a lot of fun too.

Shout-outs to Conce Fresquez III, Larry Pacheco, Robert Herrera, Jason Elliott, and of course Brian Gutierrez, who didn't even have to help us but did anyway cuz he's just that kind of guy.

Hope you all enjoy the new design! Let me know what you think with the comment form below (sorry I don't have a place for your web address there yet....)

PEACE!

Whew! It's going to be a busy month. I'll be going live with a new web design on May 1st. The new design is quite a bit different from my existing design - centered layout, black background with a green Scotch Whiskey theme. (The availability of Scotch is an integral factor in my continued happiness.)

I agreed to help a buddy out with a house-sit in Galisteo this week, starting tomorrow and ending on Easter Sunday. Not so bad, except I found out that I was signed up for a Crystal Reports class in Albuquerque this coming week as well... the class starts at 8:00 AM - which basically means that I will be getting up at the butt-crack of dawn every day, hauling ass to ABQ, and then not getting back out to Galisteo until 7:00 PM. Bummer.

Then, for the last week of April, I'm going down to Las Cruces to help out at the Transportation Engineering Conference... so I'm not going to have much time for web design. Bleh! I spit on April! The stars have aligned in an attempt to delay the timely delivery of my design, but I will prevail. Be sure to check back after May 1st... things WILL be different.
